Company growth in economic downturn

Client: Vancouver based construction company
Participants:
40
Format: 1 Day customized event
Location: Various in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia

The Purpose: Provide a one-day experiential workshop and team-building event. The goal was to foster resilience and counteracting adversity during the recession for a team of 40 staff.

Our Approach: Pinnacle Pursuits worked closely with their CEO for a month before their customized program. We created an event entitled ‘Survivor: Thriving vs Surviving’. The event included a presentation by their CEO, facilitated dialogue, story sharing and group discussion. We also created a customized, high-energy, competitive team adventure called ‘Survivor Pursuits’ based off the popular TV Show. At their request, operating procedures and corporate values were weaved into the game to allow participants an effective way of reconnecting with them. Survivor Pursuits assisted in getting participants back to basics during difficult times. Participants recognized the call for simple, clear communication during stressful situations. It also reminded the team of the importance of focus while under pressure.

The Results: Upon debriefing each staff person made a commitment to take forward and implement in the desire for company growth. The company still shares stories from their team building days. In fact, due to its success, our client continues to enlist Pinnacle Pursuits for their annual staff team-building events.
